Like a butterfly, her wings unfolded
It’s the time of year when kindergarteners are apprehensive about their first day of school, seniors in high school are already distracted by impending graduation, and college freshmen leave home for new adventures.
Yes, my firstborn will soon leave home to start her first semester at a university 2000 miles from home…spread your wings, young lady!
My son, now taller than I, will begin his senior year of high school…spread your wings, young man!
And our 5-year-old will begin the scary and exciting adventure of kindergarten…spread your wings little one!
